Several years ago, a number of engineers in Jeddah conceived the idea of forming an association and started working to achieve that goal. As a result of that noble thought the birth of BEA (Bangladesh Engineers’ Association) was formed. BEA aims to organize the expatriate Bangladeshi Engineers and Architects working in Jeddah and its adjacent areas with a view to create a congenial atmosphere for professional and social development with a still broader aim of making possible contribution towards the development of Bangladesh as a whole. The objectives of BEA are:
To promote and advance the science-practice and business of engineering in all its branches. To promote efficiency and maintain high standards in engineering practices and profession. To make it mandatory for the members to abide by the professional code of ethics (as laid down by INSTITUTION OF ENGINEERS, BANGLADESH) in their professional conduct. To help in the acquisition and interchange of technical knowledge amongst its members. To promote professional interests and social welfare: amongst its members.
